What is RGT?

Roaring Good Time is a private furry event in New Jersey held annually since 2015 (when there isn’t a pandemic or emergency), ran by Shy Matsi (me, that’s my fursona name), a July Leo (my astrological star sign) who likes to have a roaring good time once in a while. (Get it? Leos are lions, we roar…)

This isn’t your typical furry meet or convention. You won’t find the usual furry staples of a large Dealers Den, Charity Art Gallery, or Convention Store. Instead you may find things like a Private Bowling Lounge, Beach House Parties, Executive Suites, Loft Event Spaces, Arcades, the Jersey Shore Boardwalk, or Exclusive VIP Lounges.

Unlike a convention, our gatherings are held on the smaller side. This is because it’s usually held in venues that have a limited capacity, so please keep that in mind. When the event registration goes up, if it’s a first come, first serve basis, we may not have the room for everyone. So PLEASE do not take it personally if you don’t get a confirmation.

So in short, it’s a party, run by Shy Matsi. The entry fee involved is a way to split the cost of having the party. It pays for the space and/or food.
